Title: exhaust gas emissions V&H
Post by: Bullfrog on October 18, 2011, 03:27:54 PM
Does anyone know any values of the gas emissions that a GS would have with a V&H installed?
...cause the V&H guys don't.

Maybe some european (or Californian) rider??

here in Europe (Portugal) bikes don't go to inspection or gas emissions, its just buy the bike and ride ride and ride some more

I doubt the exgaust makes much difference. Its there for noise. The V&H is straight through, so I doubt it could do anything with the gas.

More important is your fuel/air ration, spark, any oil leaks in the engine causing it to burn oil, etc.

and as for a CAT, I don't thing the GS has one unless they hid it in the exhaust can. Never heard anyone at the shops mention there was one.

 Hell yeah. exgas comes out of the engine. Should have thought of that. hahaha :icon_rolleyes:

Ok so then ev'rything will be fine next year. I'm planning on buying a V&H and sent an email to the guys 'cause noise and gas emission standards are quite strict here. (Noise level will be ok.)

Thanx to all!

I bought a Jardine quiter plug and files it a little and jammed it into my V&H to quiet it down a little.
