Title: Gear selector oil seal
Post by: CraiGDaniel on October 24, 2011, 05:05:53 AM
My gear lever is leaking oil from the seal. I have a new seal here but i am a noob.

I have the clutch cover off and can see the broken seal, but how do i remove the old one and put the one in?

I was told this can be done without removing anything just a simple replacement??

There are specific tools with hooks on the end for taking seals out but you can do it with a small screwdriver. Some people have talked about putting a screw in it and pulling it out but I didn't do that.

To put it in you can use a socket or something similar that is the same width as the seal to push it in evenly. I think I've replaced damn near every seal on this pos.
