Title: FS: GS500f Parts
Post by: mlutz9004 on October 30, 2011, 12:03:42 PM
SO, as some of you know I had an accident in early September. I have since replaced a lot of parts on my GS and now have some parts that are slightly damaged or used that some of you may still find useful or be interested in. I don't have a lot of storage space as I am still a college student so I would like to free up some space by selling some of this stuff. Here is what I have.

08 Pearl Blue Fuel Tank ( has dents)
08 LH, RH, and center tail fairings (RH and center are in excellent condition)
08 Pearl Blue front nose cowling (has some road rash no cracks)
04-09 Stator magneto cover (road rashed)
Handle bar end weight (a few scratches)
Instrument cluster meter bracket (Slightly bent and scrapped)

PM me and make an offer if your interested or would like to see pics

The tank is a pearl vigor blue fuel tank from a 2008 Suzuki GS500F.The tank is clean and has no rust and no leaks. It had gas in it up until a few days ago. The bike was laid down which resulted in the dents on the left side. There are 3 dents; other than that the tank is in perfect condition. It has normal wear for a 3 year old tank. The tank also has a progrip tank protector on it, which could be removed relatively easy if you wanted to:

This is the LH section for the rear tail frame cover for an 08 GS500F. It is pearl white plastic with the blue decal. The part is in pretty rough condition. There is a section of road rash where the plastic is ground down. There are 2 cracks in the piece; although it will still hold together. Also, one of the plastic mounting tabs on the back portion is broken off. I can include the broken tab, in case you want to try to reattach it. The part can be installed without this tab. The decal has normal wear but still looks good. There is some sun fading to the white part of the decal, which you may not be able to see from the picture.

If anybody is interested I am still trying to clear out this stuff. I don't want a lot for most of it. I will consider any reasonable offer. Thanks.

If the instrument cluster bracket has the BLUE plastic, I'm sure lots of people want it. If not, I'll take the plastic caps and recycle the metal.

Since I took those pictures I had someone ask me if they could buy one of the green indicator lenses from me, and since I hadn't received any interest in it, I let one of them go. I don't remember where it is the neutral indicator or the turn signal, but it is one of the green ones.

I got extra greens in the parts box. Available if needed.
If no interest, I'll take the bracket and what's on it. PM me what you want. I can straighten it and fix it up.

If you get to the point of throwing the tank in recycling, I'll take it as a shop tank. Can hang it up as a test tank when working on the bike builds.
