Title: Thanks for the advice
Post by: loco on October 31, 2011, 05:57:43 PM
That I have gotten here on my 92 GS500.  But I am moving on.  I have replaced the GS with a '85 Ninja 600.  I love the way the GS rides but I wanted to move on and I got a great deal on this bike and I already have a buyer for the GS.

We all move on inn one way or another.

I went from Harley's to a sports touring bike. From here maybe a 600 maybe a 650, but for now I am having too much for with this little bugger. Rejetting soon and adding a slip-on to improve the throttle alittle and we'll see where we go from there.

Let us know how you feel in a month or so please and good luck. O0

Why in God's name would you want another carbed bike?

I did a similar thing, but so far I am keeping my '01 GS, I purchased a '93 Ninja ZX6.  I have had my Ninja for just over a month and so far I am very pleased with it.

Good luck with yours!!!

If you have to ask, you haven't thought out all the reasons someone would buy a carbed bike over a FI one.  Think like a motorcycle mechanic.  What would you want as a m/c mechanic?

Easy to work on.
Low tech
Reliable
Doesn't need a $120 tool to diagnose.

loco -  I say good for you.  The bike looks very well cared for and clean.

Don't poopoo on the man's ride high!  It looks like a nice bike and , once dialed in properly, carbs can be just as reliable as FI   :thumb:

Yeah I agree, the bike is nice and looks clean for it's age, but let's just hope the man has good experience with carbs as this bike has twice the amount as a GS :P

Nice Ride!  Nothing like an oldie but goodie. Takes ya back to the old Ninja commercial days.
