Hi all, picked up a GS500E over the weekend. It's not running so expect to see a few questions. I used to ride an old GS450 (still own it, but it caught fire in the workshop so it's just stood for about the last 10 yrs) and it was one of the most brilliant bikes ever. If this new one turns out to be half as good as the old one was I will be well chuffed!

What part of ZA are you from? I was in Cape Town and Jeffery's Bay for New Years back in 2001-02
I'm in Durban. Went to boarding school in Port Elizabeth though, so have fond memories of Jeffreys and Plettenberg Bay.
