Title: Fork Seal Tools
Post by: BaltimoreGS on November 02, 2011, 07:30:23 PM
As a companion to the fork seal video, here's some pics of the special tools used in the video.   Video Here:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8cSYiIl8gQk

The upper tool is just a cut down piece 1.5" PVC pipe used to drive in the new seal.  The lower tool is a piece of 5/8" all thread with 4 nuts.  The nuts are tightened againt each other like old school lock nuts so they stay fixed on the all thread.  Take a 24mm wrench or socket with you to make sure you get the proper sized nuts.  This tool will not work on '04-up models.  The third tool is just a battery filler but a turkey baster would also work.  Just mark off your desired air gap to set the fork oil level.  Hope this helps   :thumb:
