Does anyone know the part number or where i can get the seal behind the ignition rotor on the clutch basket side cover? Oil leaks are not fun..
Its a standard 22 x 40 x 8 R23 lip-seal.
Buy one on line or at local bearing factor, they cost next to nothing, example............

If you want go OEM its #12 on the crankshaft fiche.
How did you blow that seal though - I've never heard of it blowing. Its not a pressure fitting and its pretty much under no stress of any consequence really unless you ran it without a cover and let it get all cruddy and some of it got in there and ripped - still very far fetched though.

Uhm not sure Buddha. Found drips coming out of the bottom of the ignition case looked inside and a small puddle of oil bedded around the bottom of the seal. However i did not check the oil after changing it and turns out it was well over the F mark on the dipstick, so i drained some.

If its from the right side - #1 suspect is the clutch cover gasket. That big one, I've lost a few of those in my time.
Suspect #2 is the main oil galley plug on the right side somewhere just below your right toe as you're sitting on it.
That guy is a pressure fitting, if you ahve a leak there it can get ugly in a hurry.

If you over-fill the engine, the engine will tend to want to release the pressure any way possible, such as pushing it out of the seals. If I were you, I'd correct the level, clean up the leaks, and check it again in a few days.
