Title: Bar Risers?
Post by: 25knots on November 15, 2011, 01:22:30 PM
Has anyone had good luck adding bar risers?  Is there a particular make and model that you like?  Price?  Did you have to lengthen control lines to make it work?

I have...  I used the ones from here ( http://www.twistedthrottle.com/trade/productview/2016/101/ ) not adjustable but they work great.  Rox Risers ( http://www.roxspeedfx.com/cgi-bin/cart/showitems.cgi?subcat_id=268 ) are some too and are adjustable.  As for the cable lengths.. yes I did have issues.  I had to reroute the front brake line, choke cable, and throttle cable.  The choke cable is giving me some issues... it needs to be secured near the neck otherwise when you turn the handle bars left or right it will cause the choke to engage and the engine will throttle up a bit.  I thought about getting lines from a Vstrom but haven't looked into it to see if they will match up.  I know the throttle cables wont.
