Okay Heres my two questions, If the Exhaust turns red, Running lean, On the right side but not the left, right where it meets the engine, Do I adjust the right carb? to make it more rich by a little, or do I do something else?
Also when I started my bike, the bike had water in the exhaust again, so It burnt out, while I was watching it burn out. I noticed between where the exhaust slips on and meets the pipes coming off the engine, there was a little bit of the boiling water steam coming out. Now Idk how to fix this one... Its a bit rusted, but I took the exhaust off and cleaned it up with some steel wool and put it back, but it still leaks a little. Any ideas?
Have you cleaned the carbs and made sure you don't have any partially clogged jets?
I use Permatex Ultra Copper on all my exhaust work, it should sealyour leak :thumb:

No, you don't "adjust" a carb if it is running lean enough to turn the pipe red (or white). You fix it.

Last time I checked, If your pipes are turning white, they are also flinging hot freaking metal into your bike/legs? I hope I never see that...
And how do you suppose I "FIX IT"? Know ranting at me, without no help at all.. Mine as well Shove your fist up your @ss...

Ohh, Okay, thanks! I'll check this out, do you find this at walmart or what ever? or do I just head on over to the bike store? Lol I gotta get a new battery anyway..
Not sure aout Walmart but any automotive store should stock it. Walmart probably has the orange high temp RTV which would probably work (no sensors on a GS to worry about). Good luck :thumb:

Had a red pipe on a twin before and it was the ignition timing that was out ,on one cylinder. This is if you dont have any problem with the carb or air leaks.
