Getting ready to put my new "clip-ons" on but need some info before I start.
1. What are the torque specs for the bolts that hold the fork springs down?
2. How do you get the right side throttle off?
The brakes, master cylinder and switches all look like they just unbolt and bolt back onto the new bars. Anything I need to look out for or be cautious of??
I don't recall a torque amount for the fork caps (manual is in my toolbox at the moment...). I'd say tighten as far as you can by hand (not using a wrench) and maybe 1/8th a turn past that. The pinch bolts I believe are about 20 lbs-ft
Throttle... remove the bar end weight- undo the two screws under the switch housing- separate the halves - you'll see your throttle cable has a barrel on the end of it -line the cable up with the notch and slide the barrel out of the throttle tube.
You may need to reroute the cable a little and move your brake hose when you put it back together ( loosen banjo bolt slightly and turn it where you need...). May need to bleed the brakes after that...
After you get it together...start the bike up and turn the bars lock to lock and see if the engine speed changes....
