Well.. do it yourself, maybe 35 bucks... have someone do it, maybe 200... things arn't cheap man.. unless you get up and do it yourself.

I didn't pay anywhere near 3 figures for mine. I think I paid 70 to have it done professionally, and the only reason it cost me that much was because they had to clean them and muscle them off the bike. I'm pretty sure if I would've just brought my carbs in by themselves I wouldn't of paid more than 20.
From my experience (and location) I found that this varied WIDELY from shop to shop...it was actually weird when I really think about it, almost suspicious lol. I called about 5 different bike shops and got quotes and info ranging from; "Jetting is complicated and can take 2-3 hours, you'll be looking at ~$250" to "We can do that for about $75-$100 dollars"
Its funny, because there are threads on this very forum (and others) that talk about how jetting is a "black art" and "Seasoned mechanics spend years perfecting it" to "You can do it yourself in a hour". I personally wasn't comfortable doing it myself and considering jetting/carbs are a big part of the performance of your bike and how well it runs I didnt wanna muck with it, I didn't trust myself. I ended up paying a friend of a friend who works on bikes 75 bucks and its been great. Could I have done it, probably, but I highly doubt I would have gotten it right the first time so in my mind I just figured I'd get someone who atleast knows what they were doing. Anyhow...if you do end up getting it done, my advice would be to call around! Better yet, if you can get a buddy or someone to do it that knows what their doing even better :)
If you are taking jets out and putting new ones in, it's about an hour tops. So whatever a shop charges for an hour labor. Now, if they are putting it on a Dynometer and experimenting with different size jets, you will have to sell a kidney to pay that bill.
There is enough info and knowledge here on the site that I don't see any reason to take it to a shop. Buy the jets from Buddha (seriously, they are cheap) and do it yourself. And if you screw up something on the carbs, then it's also possible for a shop to screw it up. Except they might charge you for fixing it.
