I'm new to the forum but extremely happy to be part of,found tons of helpful knowledge here. I recently bought for $200, a 97 GS with only 2228 miles, very minor damage, (cosmetic), the bike sat in a shed for 12 years, older woman purchased it new, had a minor accident and parked it. I rebuilt the carbs, changed the oil, plugs, airfilter and got her running perfectly, i'm doing a complete restore with a few custom mods. are there any gs people on here from the charlotte, nc area?
Also, how do you load pictures?

Click this button in the buttons above your reply box and then copy/paste the picture location in between the two [img] boxes. Click preview to see if you did it right.
You must be the first poster that I've seen, to start a post and get it running perfectly the first time. Que bueno! :icon_razz:
Score on $200 big ones!
Welcome and hope you post some pic's of your restoration and fill in the blanks on how you did it!
Thanks for the help, I was trying to use my phone to load pics, wasn't working. I will get some up soon, so far I have done a carbon fiber overlay and the upper area of the tank, chopped and reformed the tail section in a mild streetfighter manner, polished the lip of the wheels, did a little machining on the wheels and painted the spokes brabywine metallic over silver. I am putting a bare metal brushed finish on the frame and areas of the tank. Along with many other ideas to add, I think this will be a pretty cool looking little bike when finished. Pics soon!
:technical: updates?
