Title: Calling all parts whores!
Post by: J_Walker on January 05, 2012, 10:59:45 PM
Okay, I'm not sure what its called, this is cosmetic after all. but on the right side where the brake is located, there is a shiny - kinda chrome like metal piece that goes above the peg mount. Here's a picture. its not mine just looked for a google image.  and circled it (http://i39.tinypic.com/1zducjs.jpg) I need that piece and possibly the bolts, if no bolts ill find a work around. Also if anyone has, Rear brake disc for an 05 GS500f maybe the whole brake [disc, calipers, pads] Depending on the price I might buy them ASAP. Low on money again ^_^

The part is called a heel guard. I'm sure someone has one floating around.

How many do you want? Got plenty, and the screws.

I have everything you need if you want to buy from me - just send me a list of what you need.

Here is a link to a good bike breaker. Look at their photos and buy the best and newest if you buy from them. They are a good dealer but price everything the same so you have to look at condition - but they are the best bike breaker I buy from. Example: $14.95 for rear brake caliper - whatever year or condition, so you pick the best. I have 2009 calipers from them on my 1992 Junior (less than 1000 miles on those calipers!)

I'll check that out. Actually. do you have all the screws/bolts to the fairings for the F style bike? because my custom work i'm working around the original fairings. but I have NONE of the bolts. I need the both right and left side bolts/screws/nuts also the bolts/screws/nuts to put the front fairing back on. Gonna look so cool, everyone's gonna want a GS500f :D

I only need one "Heel guard" thing. with the bolts. doesn't matter what color it is, if they come in different colors. Repainting the WHOLE bike. Even the engine. soon.. also. I might PM you tomorrow about electrical work. - My wires look like shaZam!. from the PO. looking to clean them up a little more. also some splicing repairing questions for later on when I do my front fairing Re-model

I pretty much have every bolt for a GS500 and every bracket. I buy those "box-o-bolts" from bike breakers and pick our the goodies I really need. Sure I have all the brackets for fairings and I know I have all the bolts.

I have a 2009 so I can compare to be sure I send you the right part. Also have everything to build a couple bikes from scratch (see the West Seattle topic in the project section) Also note there that I CLEAN all parts - spanking clean, too! See the pix.

Put together what you need and I'm sure I have all of it. PM me and I can give you an email address to send parts diagrams and parts lists and photos of your project. Photos really do help.

FYI: All heel guards are chrome plated. Gotta blast them if you want to paint them. been there - done it - I wanted them black on Suzi.
FYI 2: Got at least 6 heel guards - probably more. Got rear rotor, calipers, etc.
FYI 3: Little short on some of the rubber grommets. Bike breakers don't save them and the usually are thrashed. They're cheap from a dealer or parts place - buck or two each and you don't need many - maybe a dozen.

PS: I think I have a few wiring harnesses for an F model. That might help you if your wiring is all farkeled up.

Not trying to thread jack, but what kind of seat cowl you have on Junior? Looks pretty sweet.

Yeah the wiring is just old/rotted an I plan on buying a horn for my bike.. ^_^ but PO, he cut the wire ends off to the horn. - FAIL.

yeah Lemme write up everything I need. might not know the exact names ill look on bike bandit tho. actually the heel plates i like the chrome color, considering I'm painting my bike 80% white and 20% red. I think I might even chrome out my engine I could find some place to do them cheaply. other wise ill be using some High temp 2000 degrees F spray paint! Black sadly tho. better than it rusting!
