Title: Right cover gasket replacement
Post by: miket on November 30, 2003, 03:30:13 PM
It seems that my right engine cover has started leaking a little. I guess I need to replace the gasket. Can I just lean the bike on one side and let the oil flow to the other side, or do I need to drain the oil out?
Any other tip for replacing it?

Yep, you can just lean it over to the left.

You should probably replace the crankshaft oil seal in the cover as well.

Don't forget about the two cover bolts that are behind the ignition sender plate.

The stock gaskets are a Buddha Loves You to get off, so some gasket remover may help.
