Title: WTB some OEM Parts
Post by: nicholaschase29 on January 16, 2012, 11:28:06 PM
I'm looking to restore some parts on my 1993 GS500. Here is what i'm looking for

Clutch and brake Levers
both suzuki emblems that go on the cover for the stator and the clutch cover.
a LH mirror
the blue high beam light in the dash
a set of stock handlebars
a front and a rear turn signal

Thanks!

Some of those items are hard to come by unless you order them directly. I know very few people have extra emblems laying around. Adidasguy would be the man to ask but I know he needs some himself. It's common for them to get all scraped up.

FYI you can copy the part number from RonAyers and go to BikeBandit.com and paste it in the search and 9/10 times it'll come up for you.

I've got the stock front and rear signals: big, ugly, bright. You have to splice in the wires (or solder on new bullet connectors). That okay?

I've got these parts. Choice of brake lever. One on right I think is original OEM. Have a few clutch levers.
Yes, there is a BLUE CAP in that pile.
Grips: yes, have some. But they are really inexpensive. Suggest buying new ones so you have fresh, soft rubber.

For those wondering, the BLUE cap is like $300 because they are so rare. Throwing in the other parts for free  :bs:

Make one out of melted lite brite pegs.

Even better...make one out of those little circular jobs that you put in the oven that melt together and make shapes.
