Title: Disassembling instrument cluster
Post by: jacob_ns on February 01, 2012, 06:22:54 PM
Is there any way to access the instrument cluster backside glass? Both my tach and speedo are dirty as all hell and it would be nice to be able to clean them up. I've disassembled them instruments to the point I can access the bulbs but it doesn't seem there is a way into the housing of the instrument itself, I'd assume for anti-tampering purposes.

You can gently pry the lip up on the back of the gauges and get the bezel off....-pull it off -clean and reinstall it.

I did a how to on white face gauges awhile back... you can read the parts relevant to what you need to do (more detailed explanation) to get it off and  back on.
