So.. I'm looking to paint my GS500 after I'm done with getting her all fitted with the proper stuff to make her "go" lol.
Any ideas on how I should paint the bike? As I was looking to do a red frame, with a white body combo, a little black throw in there too somewhere. But Idk, seems to "classic" for my taste.... If any of you would like to give some ideas/color pallets. I'd give them a look around.
EDIT: No pinks/purples please.. Purple I wouldn't have a problem with, but my highschools color's were purple. and I hated my highschool... there for made me hate the color purple. and pink, well that's self explanatory.
Watch this video of GS500s in various states of color and other Mod and see if anything gives you inspiration

I thought of the red and white as well when I did mine. Of course, after I finished it I didn't really take any good pictures of the finished product. A red frame is not my cup of tea. To me, it looks a bit tacky. Not to mention any dirt or oil is going to show up easily. Best to keep the frame a dullish color IMHO.

Red frame = Not as Cool
Or maybe that's cause there's no chick in a bikini. Either way:

Oh and btw, when I scaled the stripe on to the front fender, it looked pretty epic. But I started spraying that part in the wee morning hours, so as the day warmed up between coats, it effed up the paint. But yeah. It looked good. Just an example of red and white I guess.
"...sexy is the word!"
Damnit I wanna paint mine again now, but more creative and colorful.

black out everything except the tank and tail plastics. chrome them. red anodize all fasteners, but nothing bigger than 1/2". then, on the wheels, do a a chrome/polished alu CENTER stripe and leave the ridges blacked. it's harder to do, and looks more kickass. wiggle the center stripe around the spokes like a snake. it looks wicked rolling at speed.
but, we're still waiting on you to FIX IT AND RIDE IT, until then, don't touch paint. ;-)
