Title: '94 GS for sale, plus basket case motor, and stuff
Post by: AccidentalF on February 08, 2012, 07:05:21 AM
Hey guys, decided to unload all my GS stuff for good. The wife sold hers and I have my eyes on a new dual sport. Plus I'm moving and feel like a fresh start. Here's what I've got:

-'94 500E, approx 11k miles.  A bit rough, but except for some actual mirrors, complete. Runs. Inspectable even. Needs a carb clean though as it has been sitting for a little while. Jets have been changed to the recommended for a stock setup. Progressive springs in the forks. Nearly brand new IRC tires. Sweet orange wheels. Needs paint, a bath, etc. $500.
-Basket case early '90's motor.  I bought it with a bad head and disassembled it. Then I found the above runner and got distracted for a year or so. Acquired a good used head, cam chain, and a few other things for it but never got around to putting it all back together.  Vesrah gasket kit too. Had dreams of a 541cc 12 to 1 toy, but alas...$150 for the pile. It's all there, just been stirred around a bit.
-Rolling chassis, think the frame is a '92.  White wheels, frame painted black. New head bearings. I doubt anyone wants it. Make an offer. It's going to my scrap dealer otherwise.
-'89 clipons. Not perfectly straight, need (better) paint. $75.
-Full Jardine exhaust with K&N lunchbox and jetted >'01 carbs. I had been using them on the '94. Makes the poor thing run like it's supposed to. Sounds great. $275 for the pipe, $100 for the carbs, and the filter goes with either (or both) for free. $25 by itself.

In my wildest dreams, somebody would show up with a stack of cash and a big truck to scoop the whole lot out of my garage.  I will ship if I have to, prices above are before shipping cost (I'm located in NH, 03055)  If I have to part things out (please please no), it's going to be a bit...like I said, I'm moving.

And pics, yeah I need them. I will get some today, and can get more by request.

Thanks guys!

Where are you in NH? Exhaust, Carbs, and Filter... I'm interested for the right price. Any pictures?

Bah, forgot pictures today. Got a pile of CL contacts to return to tomorrow, hopefully that will remind me.

Here's some pics, though not great. Was in a rush.

The pipe is dirty, not scratched. Very good shape.

Sweet  :D the faster I have another spot free in the garage the faster I can fill it with a wr250  :woohoo:

Or maybe i should just take that motor and frame and make the cafe toy I had been thinking about the whole time.

Have you got a title or transferable registration for the 92 rolling chassis?

I've moved, so the previous registration for the frame MIGHT be here somewhere. In my state (NH) you don't need a title for anything over 15 years old, so nothing that old has one. period. They give you a hassle if you try to get one, which I did in this case. I have an old Maine title for it though lol. Sorry.

Looks like nobody is serious about any of this stuff, so it's likely to go to ebay in a month or so when prices peak around here. WHEEEEEE

Sorry guys, I've sold just about the whole pile locally. Been dealing with some things, so this has been a real stroke of luck. Sorry for the hassle to the fellas who pm'd me and didn't get a response.  Pm's going out individually.

WTF? What an @$$hole!
You send a PM then you block replies so i can't even say "That's OK?"  :nono:

Go away. You're not welcome here.

PS: Guess he's gone for good and hates us all. Seems to have blocked any messages from other people.
