Going to get a clamp for my slip-on.
for better hold and less possible air loss at the meeting point.
Not sure what size clamp to get tho.
would this work?

Yes, ish. Those come packaged flat. Fair warning. And their clampiness is subject to your carefulness.
I manufactured a slip-on gasket by folding a long thin rectangle of alum foil, (maybe 3/8"W and as long as the pipe is round 3-4 ply worked for me.) then bending it over the circumference of the exhaust tip, as if it were a "cap" for the end of the pipe circumference. Then you slide that old slip on over the top of it all and it works really well.
good reminder...
should have mentioned my slip-on is more of a slip-In haha
it went over the stock 94 pipe
but I had to replace the pipe and got one from an 06.
so the opening is wider then my previous one and my slip on now goes Into the pipe vs over it previously.
so there is going to be more possible leakage compared to before.
thats why im lookin at a clamp like this.
sorry, forgot to mention that as I got alot on the brain atm.
(edit)
here is it mounted on the old exhaust when I first bought the bike.
no pics of current exhaust tho.

and thats a good idea.
not entirely sure what im going to do atm as far as a Permanent fix goes.
Im moving Very soon as I finally got the rest of my tax info.
so I just need some extra hold "for now" if I am to ride the bike to its new destination.
Unless I just tie her down in the back of the Uhaul truck.
Cut up a can of cat food for a good exhaust clamp.
I got a pair of these for my GS425 build.
