Okay, a while back, I tried checking my valve clearances.
I accidentally cranked the engine the wrong way a couple of times.
When I put everything back together, nothing started and the valves sounded out of sync.
Took everything back down and together again probably about 5 times to make sure I was assembling everything right.
Could cranking the engine the wrong way be the culprit?
And how do I go about fixing this issue.
No it could not.
You probably connected the hoses incorrect, so that it doesn't get fuel.

incase u messed with the timing and set it wrong.
Did you turn the fuel shutoff valve under the tank back on? Is vacuum hose from carbs to the frame petcock still hooked up? Try starting it in PRI?
It's unlikely turning the crank backwards will cause the cam chain to skip teeth but possible with faulty chain tensioner. If all else fails pull the gas tank and valve cover and check the cam timing to make sure.
