Picked her up yesterday. Had started a thread and originally thought it was a 2004...turns out it was a 2005. Paid $2400 (4500 miles)

Just gotta take the course now. Can't wait to drive her!
Also the bike is being stored until May (with cover on it in a garage but not heated) - any tips on what I should do when I pull the bike out for the first time?
Congrads on the new bike, you're going to love it. What part of Florida are you in? I am in Ft. Lauderdale.
Looks to be in great shape and a virgin. Nice find and welcome to the forum.
Indeed, That is super clean and appears untouched. Enjoy the course.
Did you get it private or from a dealer? Depending on what you know or don't (as far as service history) perhaps a thorough once over, fresh oil change and away you go.
If you don't know the maintenance history, changing the oil and checking the valve clearances would be a good starting point.

Private. I'm fairly certain the guy had bought it for his GF and then she most likely didn't want to ride it anymore or something a long those lines. I found it on craigslist
No in the first pick I thought that was a Fl plate on the truck and got excited that there maybe another GSer down in the sunny land of 600 & 1000
Also does anyone have a owners/repair manual for the GS500F? He didn't have one. I tried downloading it from repairmanualclub but it just times out halfway through the download!

1989-00 are the same, 01+ are the same. There's only slight differences between the two models, aside from obvious fairing and headlight changes. The newer carbs are somewhat different. They have a lot of extra little bells and whistles that the old ones don't, including a TPS.
