Actually, sound quality is pretty good.

Interesting...It looks pretty good on there too. Definately "modernizes" the look of the bike.
It gives it a throtty sound. It sort of sticks out a bit though. Looks nice.

If I mount it to the inside of the exhaust mount, instead of the outside, it wont clearance the swingarm.
Im just going to try this :icon_lol: :icon_lol: :icon_lol:

Nice and throaty. Still has some lawnmower je ne sais quois, but anything is better sounding than the stock exhaust.

Oh I wasnt knocking it at all, it was just an observation. You did good with it, much better then using a beer can, hanger and duct tape. :D

sounds great :thumb:
very nice.
reminds me to get one up with my cobra F1s.
just searched and it seems to be a Very rare muffler people add to these bikes.
What the r6 or cobra?
Seems like be thing outside the box is rare on thesse bikes.
People just like plug n play
Sounds good and looks even better. :thumb:
Cobras were big in the late 80's/early 90's as a cheap upgrade from stock on a bunch of bikes. Got one on my ratty '89.

Strips, what strips?
Ohh, My chicken lines?

Any farther, and it'll be on it's side.
I'm an old man now by motorcycle standards (no offense Jack), chicken strips are my friend  On a serious note though, lack of chicken strips can actually be a sign of poor body positioning on a street bike. If you are positioning your body weight to high in a turn you have to lean the bike over farther to compensate, common problem with novice riders. Thanks for the compliment codajastal but I'm going to feel really outdated if you don't know where I ripped off the idea for that paint job...

what is that, an F1r?
no idea what the difference is between the R and S.
but that is one BAD looking exhaust! hahahahaha :nono:
quite dented? might just be the angle.
kk toilet run :icon_lol: then get a video of mine.
Yea, that exhaust is beat. I have one of the old Yoshimura full exhaust systems that is supposed to go on that bike, just never ride it enough to bother changing it. The Cobra will probably end up on Adfalchius's track bike.

That bike looks like Eddie's guitar from the 1984 days ;)
My brother had a Wolf pipe on his GPz550 back in 87...I loved the sound of that pipe when he had it.

To OP, what year r6 exhaust is that? and what was the pipe size conversion or whatever/
2007 R6R
The pipe on the can is about 1.75 for the inlet where it clamps. the adapter I clamped it to, no clue.
How did you attach the can? Did you have someone fabricate the adapter? Also did this require a rejet?
Anyone considered putting a stock Ninja 650r exhaust on a GS500? Just the muffler, painted black, with the tip left silver? I'd like to do something similar with the exhaust, but I don't want it to sound like crap.

Or would it hang down to low with removal of the center stand? I'm trying to find some dimensions as we speak.

Maybe a slip on designed for one instead?
I don't mind that. A member called Seamax fit dual exhausts under the engine.

make sure you tell them about the tuning hell he went through because of it.
there threads around here somewhere...
My r6r can would fit PERFECT attached to the end of the collector, even the tab would mount to the (ex) center stand mount...
Id just have to oblong the rearset holes 1/8th of an inch to clearance it, and yea... Play with carb settings for the next year.

If you happen to stumble across another one, let me know!
Scour r6 boards and forums, they pop up all the time.
