Title: carb intake boots cracked
Post by: dblcola on February 23, 2012, 01:50:03 PM
Hi, I'm the new owner of a 1997 gs500. It does not run. I was told it needed " carb work" anyway I have noticed the rubber manifold boots are cracked. I can't afford new ones right now and was wondering if I could use some sort of sealer temporarly? If yes what type? Thanks

Jump on this one: 2 available at $12 each

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2001-2009-Suzuki-GS500-Intake-Pipe-/270791274153?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item3f0c6aeea9

I assume you mean the ones from the carbs to the engine.

If air box to carbs, those are cheap. usually buy an air box for $15 or so and they are on it.
