Post by: Watevaman on February 26, 2012, 11:23:38 AM
I got a few rust spots on the frame and want to touch them up with a rattle can, does anyone know any paint that will match the silver/gray frame the best?

I mean I know its a color chart but dunno which part is painted what.

if you can or someone else, might make it easier finding a matching color.

If its somewhere you cant easily see, silver hammerite works well.. Not that half the frame under my seat is covered in it.. :embarassed:

There's a bunch of surface rust under the right footpeg, so it's pretty visible.

That fiche could be useful, yeah, but there are 4 silver/gray colors it seems.

Strip and powdercoat it!!!!

Oh, wait, you were looking for a touch up, not a 2 month long expensive process...

I'd definitely paint the whole frame (probably a nice matte black) if I had the money or time, but nope.
