Title: Adjust Brake Pedal/Stop Light
Post by: kg1709 on February 28, 2012, 11:48:09 AM
Hi all,

I've noticed that I really have to apply pressure to the footbrake in order for it to activate the stop light.

Is this an easy adjustment, can anybody explain how to to do it please?  :dunno_black:

Thanks!

Follow the wires and look behind the foot peg and you'll see the brake switch. It screws in and out with a plastic collar. Turn it so the switch closes where you want it.
You can remove the whole right peg assembly with the 2 big bolts to easily get at the switch. No need to disconnect anything to do it.

I can add that there is a spring from the lever that pulls the switch. You can bend the spring a little to shorten one end of it. You'll see what I mean when you go look at it in person.
