Title: Fuel line woes
Post by: Yello5 on March 04, 2012, 01:31:29 PM
Has anyone ever seen fuel lines held on with super tight plastic zip ties? The humidity out here in the high desert is around 15% all year and dried the lines out. I'm doing my first valve clearance check and found that the fuel line and breather lines either broke or are cracked. Looks like I'll have the replace most. Search says 7mm lines or tygon 1/4"?

Yeah zip ties can be used to clamp lines, I replaced mine with 8mm line, and re used the clamps that came stock on the bike. You should get some by the sounds of it just make sure you route the lines correctly.

A lot of threads state the bike can be fitted with 1/4" or 5/16" fuel line. I was thinking about running up to Napa and do the fuel lines today. Does anyone know which size would be a better fit?  :dunno_black:
