Title: Let the fun begin!
Post by: DaMuffinMan on March 05, 2012, 10:06:43 AM
Without this forum, NONE of this would be possible, For I am a NOOB

The wife's 2006 500f. Purchased last year with 1,600 miles. I added some lowering links (she's 4' 11") and she used it to commute, put it away for the winter with a lil over 4,000 miles.

The jets were all stock, but of course i stripped the float bowl screws  so now i'm waiting on The Buddha to mail me some new ones.

My ZRX1100 and my Dad's 81' Harley that he bought for $6,000 cash right off the showroom floor back in 81'!

Hey muffinman - you're ordering screws for your carbs after you pulled em apart ...  :technical: you do know if I mail it right away its still 2-3 days runnign time - and I am shooting for getting it out tomorow - sorry cant today, wont get home till 8pm.

OK so here is another tip - get those philips head screws off the intake manifolds and replace em with hex or allen head.
Those buggers are cranked to 13,000 lb-ft, getting em out will take equipment that hasn't been invented yet.

Cool.
Buddha.

That's cool, I can wait. The weather here in Jersey hasn't broke yet. What screws on the intake manifolds are you referring to? The screws holding the boots? Do You have the replacements? Thanks in advance! :thumb:

Yeah, she was a beast! Just too damn uncomfortable. That bike belongs on a track, not being used to commute to work. In an ideal world I would've kept the RC and bought another bike for the weekdays
