Post by: danielarms76 on March 05, 2012, 05:15:03 PM
Hi guys and girls.I used to have a 2010 gs500f but had to downgrade to a vl250 intruder cause of licence problems,Sry to post in gs twins but it was the only suzuki forum of know that is useful. My problem is when i start my bike with the clutch fully engaged(clutch fully in) it very slowly wants to creep forward. The problem is less evident when the bike has been running for a while but is still slightly noticeable.Any advice would be greatly appeciated,Sry again to post in this forum but like i said u guys have the best most knowlagable forum when it comes to suzuki twins

its called clutch drag, and is normal to a point. Sometimes giving it a rev with the clutch in real quick loosens up the plates and gets warm oil flowing and it goes away.

If it doesn't, you'll have to adjust the clutch at the motor. If that doesn't work, you'll be needing new plates and a new basket.

Usually the adjustment does just fine.
