What amazes me is he has had alzheiners disease for 13 to 15 years. His mind is completely gone yet his body refuses to quit. I know quite a few older people who got alzheimers well after him that didn't last a fraction as long.
They always said he was in good shape but this is unbelieveable. Sadly I just hope it ends soon for him. To me it seems like a fate worse than death the way he lives but his mind is gone.
My great grandfather had Alzheimers. It's a horrible thing to watch someone go through. I was only 8 or 9 when he died, but I remember going to visit him and towards the end he wouldn't always recognize us and sometimes would even get hostile with the family because he thought we were strangers wandering around his house. So sad.
ron reagan was the bomb. still refuses to give up! my great uncle went through it, it got him quickly :(
