Title: What's your favorite cuisine?
Post by: Kijona on March 10, 2012, 06:51:41 PM
List what your favorite genre of food is.

For me, I am quite fond of Japanese and Thai. My favorite dish is Penang Curry. I'm also VERY fond of good sushi, sashimi, and others.

Italian by far.  Lasagna is the best when made right.

Agreed...not a fan of shellfish or other stuff that usually comes out of the ocean other than fish. Shrimp? Blegh.

Is there a dead cow genre, or is that too much of a cross over to count?

I'm partial to Japanese, but I'm pretty non-discriminatory of cuisine.

I am a fan of good food no matter the cuisine. Willing to give anything a try but nothing can beat a good roast whether it be beef, chicken, pork, lamb. Served with roast vegies and gravy...yummo!

See this I think is one difference between various people, and I consider myself to be one extreme ...
I actually eat for texture, and alligator - or maybe it was crocodile I am not sure that I ate, has incredible texture. Taste is almost secondary to me.

Oooo I like deer too, and I dont like possum, if you ask me meat needs to be a bit tougher than that, chicken is as low as I would venture for how soft meat is. Possum is too soft. Ostrich, moose and elk I have only had ground in a burger so you cant ever tell.

Cool.

Buddha... you and I are opposites.

I'll eat something that looks like pigshit if it tastes good. I could care less what it looks like or what its texture is. :p It has to smell good though...I can't eat certain fish because of how it smells. If it smells like the seafood section, I ain't eating it. Same for certain cheese, meat, etc.

In fact, apart from fish, turkey, and chicken...I could do without meat. I gotta have my chicken and fish...could do without the gobbler though.

Steak? Pppft! Gimme a nice boneless/skinless chicken breast instead!

Oh, did I mention I love chicken? I'll eat just about any kind of chicken - unless it's fried. I HATE fried chicken with a passion. I know, this is sacrilegious coming from a southerner but oh well.

I hate breaded and fried anything ... chicken is the absolute worst. McNugget - man seriously, you want to put your brand on the most disgusting thing ever masquerading as an edible substance.

Steak ... mmmm chewy like a tire and melts in your mouth like butter once you chomp on it a few dozen times ...
Deer - yum.
Alligator, lamb, duck, moose, elk ... yea bring em I need to eat ... alligator really takes the cake IMHO, man I am tempted to move to louisiana to a swamp and catch these buggers and eat em.

My neighbors think I eat dog, there are these kids down the street whose dog I call appetizer ...

Anyway I dont believe I've ever not eaten something due to its smell, oddly one cheese I ate a few years ago smelt like matchsticks I was afraid if I burped near a cigarette it will have a mighty kaboom.

Cool.

I haven't had a McNUGGET in like...10 years. Sounds like they haven't gotten ANY better.

On the other hand, Wendy's chicken nuggets are kind of alright. They're not greasy.

Chick-Fil-A makes a mean sandwich but they're like 4 bucks...for JUST the sandwich!

Oh I had bbq'ed alligator about a year ago, it was almost like well done steak but saltier. Closest was steak IMHO.
Nothing like fish or chicken, maybe it was flaking off a bit like fish, but it was a lot harder, like chewing on a tire. Seriously I love that.

Roos taste fantastic, too! Though I'd eat any dead animal as long as they taste good; no matter chicken, goose, antelope, elk, crocodile, seafood, fish or whatsoever.

My favorite cuisine is asian (don't differenciate between Vietnamese, Chinese, Korean, ...). Luv the hot 'n' spicy taste. :woohoo:

Rabbits are not everywhere in Oz. Only certain areas but yes they are a pest. A disease called mixomotosis sorted them out though. Hares seem to be everywhere, not sure if you can eat em though. We have feral pigs too, big ugly f$ckers, ones that will try to gore you with their tusks if you get to close. The Germans froth over their meat. I wouldn't touch em as they're probably full of worms. We also have feral camels that run rampant in the deserts of the outback. Feral cat, water buffalo, there is an assortment of feral meat here.

Rabbit is nutritionally negative, it takes more from your body to digest rabbit than it gives. There is a term called rabbit starvation, you will starve to death in a short time if you are eating nothing else. Also rabbit dung is completely useless as a fertilizer----strange animals those rabbits.

what i find odd is theyll cross my drive SUCCESSFULLY, then turn around and try again. which usually results in ultimate fail

Sound about as predictable as Roo's. Never know where their gonna go and they're way bigger than a rabbit. I really hope I do not encounter one in my travels on my bike.
no doubt i hope you dont have that encounter either. either on a bike or a car or hell even a bus.

OK I guess I walk into my neighborhood Outback steakhouse covered in mud, and say hey I am a dentist, now I'd like a kettle of that fine wabbit stew.

BTW fosters is australia's budweiser, yes I know that, however fosters tv ad's in the 90's and early 2000's were just phenomenal.

Now how about some aussies get a case of toohey's and few 100 wabbit steaks over huh ...

Cool.

There is a distinct difference between rabbits and hares. Rabbits are the little brown things you see running around. Very low to the ground, short front legs, smaller ears. Hares, on the other hands, are more akin to "jackrabbits" (the name is a misnomer). They have very long front legs, spindly ears, and are generally larger overall.

I'd never have a reason to eat either one - not only do I not eat anything other than chicken and fish and occasionally turkey...I don't want to eat something I've had as a pet.

STFU aussie dude ... unless you can get a couple of em dead or alive over to my door. I dont care which one, any of the 3 above will work. I am so jealous. Calorie negative and delicious to boot. @ this rate I think I am going to move to the swamps and start eating alligators and crocodiles. You dudes should export them buggers. Seriously they are so adundant over there, we need em, we're fat and addicted to meat. Some negative calorie rabbits are just the ticket.

BTW There are places in the US where you can pick the fish in the tank while its still swimming and they will get it killed and cooked in front of you.

Cool.

Nope, and I'd probably totally eat one too. Just so long as I didn't have to eat the eyes.. :/ Nasty.

I love what I would call Mexican, maybe it's Tex-Mex?

You know, huge burritos, beans, rice, slathered in cheese and sauce.

Right now my favorite cuisine is anything I can keep down which is nothing. I haven't had solid food since a turkey sandwich Wednesday morning

My favorite would have to be Mexican. Real Mexican not some Taco Bell (or anything like it) crap. Then there's always Spanish, Greek , and Italian, oh and can't forget Asian :thumb:

giving that some thought. but will have to wait. they do sell a seat kit, but its kinda pricy. tbh it costs more to build it myself then to purchase seat kit.
