I offered the guy $600. Not something I really wanted so I didn't care if he didn't bite.  He had some extra rims and tires that came with the bike as well as the repair manual I really wanted.  Much like the GS500, the DR200 didn't change much over the years.  This '96 is pretty much identical to my '07.  It would need some work to be street legal, could be used as is for off road use or it would make a great parts bike.  It will find some use one way or another   ;)

Man oh man...how I wish my XR250 was street legal. Does it have a title? In GA that's all you need. Take the title to the T&T office, pay them, and away you go with a tag. LOL

Wish I could find a manual that came with a free bike.

Most of the DOT stuff is there but it is missing the rear turn signals and the rear reflector; and the current tires are not DOT approved.

Keep looking Adidas, if anyone can stumble on a GS deal like that it is you!

those parts are easy to obtain and cheap as well. most of the time i dont see LEO's hassling you over the knobbies. really only thing its asphalt would severely shorten its lifespan

I'm toying with the idea of just swapping the wheels for inspection.  If I tag this one though I will probably sell off my XT225.  One old dual sport is enough   ;)

Jessie, I have 2 sets of wheels for my other GR650 (not the one in my avatar). One pair with Kenda dual sports for the street and another pair with cheap off road tires on them. Just something to think about.......

I will accept a bike for free.  Just keep it at your house and I'll pick it up whenever.
