Damn, in bed for a week with the flu and all kinds of things have changes. BTW John nice gifs :thumb: . Okay down to the question, I am going down this afternoon to look at about 10 honda's all from the 70's. Not sure the exact years but I do know that he has a few 450's, one 750, two 550's, a 350 and a 400. The last two the owner would like for me to fix up in exchange he would give me all the rest. I do not even know at this time if all the body work is even with everything. :dunno: The only thing he told me about was the 750, someone said they knew how to work on bikes and left one of the sparks off (water in the engine) so looking at an engine rebuild. The problem I am looking at is no place to put everything (I live in an apartment) what would you do if you were in my place. My GS is at my mom's right now in the back yard and she told me no more bikes at her place (she keeps telling me to get the GS finished so I can get it out of her yard). Any suggestions??
My first road bike was a '74 CB750 and I loved it. I have two weaknesses, the GS, and early to mid 70's Hondas. Oh how I miss that couch of a seat. There is a 76 CB750 Supersport on EBay right now that I would gladly drop some dough on (not the buy it now price of 2600 beans though :bs: )

mmmmm
I am hoping that all the body work is there and that not all of it just needs to go to a junk yard for scrap. (keeping fingers crossed) I would like to fix them all up and start selling them so I can get the rest of the parts I need for my GS and possibly another GS. It all depends on the shape of the bikes and how much money I would actually be looking at putting into the bikes. I guess I will find that out when I get back, now is when I wish that I had a house with a garage.
Might be worth it get a storage unit. Or just pick one or two bikes for the deal instead of nine.
Well I went and checked everything out. Here is what he had along with comments.
1 - CB175-Bike is mostly complete except no seat or body panel (Yes its supposed to have them, that was my first bike)
1 - CB200-Pretty much worthless except to put some parts on ebay
3 - CL350-I can get two of these running from the one that I would use as a parts bike, the owner wants one of them and I would keep the other.
1 - CL400-The owner wants this one repaired
2 - CB450-Use one as a parts bike to get the other running.
1 - CB550-Missing gas tank and all body work but engine is complete, probly another parts on ebay deal.
1 - CB750- 1975 - This one I am keeping this one and fixing it up for me. Funny thing is that it looks as though someone put the GL1000 Upper fairing on it.
So all in all I will be keeping 3 bikes for me and 2 for the owner, the rest will be up for parts on ebay(or parts for the other bikes). I just talked with my brother today and he told me about a storage unit that he has big enough to hold a boat and two motorcycles in for about 80 a month. It would make it easier to work on them that would be for sure. So I guess
next month after I get his two running then I will be investing in this storage unit.
