Title: Taking a break at work...
Post by: RC on December 06, 2003, 03:11:13 PM
I dropped off my bike this morning to have the valve clearance looked at and get the cam cover gasket replaced. Morning temp was 44 deg F and the GS felt like it had a few extra ponies....free low boost supercharging!

Blasting over to the other side of town was great until I came to the big parking lot that is Hwy 59. What the hell man, I understand road construction is req'd but some decent planning to would help out everyone.

Its illegal to lane split here and you have to be careful for the many rednecks in oversized trucks or SUV's.  But my left hand could only take so much on the clutch so I went to the shoulder and went around a ton
of cars. I'm sure I cut off at least 20 minutes of waiting b/c traffic just wasn't moving.

No point to this message...but thanks for reading. You've been great.

Back to work

we have the same problem here in reno.  not with construction so bad but with some of the events the city hosts, like hot augest nights.  fills the city with a few thousand classic cars.  really plugs up the roads but i did the same thing and passed on the sholder saved a shat load of time
