Obviously not DOT approved.

25w lamps? Really? Using 12v halogen track light bulbs?  :cookoo:

Do you really want to go down from 55w stock OEM DOT approved headlamp to a 25w non-DOT non-standard headlamp?

^^^ +1 to what he said. There are better headlights out there if you want the dual headlight look.

you want to buy the ugliest headlight on the planet that cannot even light the road in front of you? That seems to be your best bet.

In all fairness, there's two 25w bulbs - the combined wattage is 50w which is only 5w less than stock.

However, you must also consider that wattage is not a measurement of brightness - it's a measurement of power consumption. Depending on what kind of bulb it uses and the technology behind it it could potentially be brighter. A 55w LED bulb would be many, many times brighter than a 55w incandescent light bulb.

But, I honestly doubt that a $50 headlight is going to be better than stock or even be DOT approved. I guarantee the box states "for off-road use only".

They are 25w so they don't melt the plastic surrounding them. These types of headlights generally don't have any kind of proper focus, so that 25 watts is dispersed EVERYWHERE.

I have a 35w H4 bulb in a couple normal headlights, and they out shine those 25w bulbs easily.

Minor wiring differences by country (for parking light where required by law) but yes, any E-model headlingt bucket any year should be the same.

The wiring is there for the front running light. A brown wire. I connected it when I put on a European headlight that had it. So yes - any headlamp will work. Connect the running light if it is there.

And there are different types of headlight brackets that go on the forks. You can get used OEM ones or various after market ones.
