Title: Honda CM 450 on Craigslist
Post by: shonole on March 20, 2012, 02:27:06 PM
I don't really need another bike, but damn this is a smoking deal.   :icon_eek:

If I knew I could fix it and flip it I would.  Anyone know anything about these?

Cafe yes, flat tracker sure, but please please please please whatever you do do not turn it into a bobber or a chopper, or call it a chopper bobber without actually cutting anything.
Cool.

Oh no, if I get it, it would either be a Cafe, or I'll fix it and flip if for a couple hundred more/sell it to someone on the boards.

They take a lot of work to be "cafe'd". Not impossible, but not as easy as say a CB450.

The cm450 is considered a better motor than the cm400 - extra displacement obviously but also have an oil cooler.

Mostly CM400's, but they are just about identical to the 450's.

I learned to ride on a CM200T and the bike was pretty reliable and fun.  The bike still sits at my parents house and I have always had the dream to cafe it.  It might take some work because the ergos are very relaxed (almost cruiser-like) but at that price might be fun to buy it and see what you could do.
