Been snowing since Friday evening. Like 18" or more in total. This totally sucks :x WOuld be nice if the town got off their ass and friggin plowed the road :x :x :x
toss some of that snow over my way will ya? All the snow in the new england area missed rochester by like 20 ft. Its horrible, i can almost see grass. I WANT TO SKI DANGIT!!!!
Did you lose power with the ice and all that? or just get dumped on?
i love the snow. probably cause i live in the south and if it snows its like .5 inches and 1 time out of the year. if we are lucky. i think that a snow covered place looks good. especially on x-mas morning. but that hasnt happened yet so im still waiting on it.
Yeah, we're getting that here now (we usually get whatever you guys get a few hours later). Just as well I say...if I can't ride, the more snow the better for skiing. :thumb:
wow, You wanna swap places? fat chence it's gonna snow in the Netherlands :guns: :x
I love snow but everybody else hates it here, 1 cm of snow and everybody's in panic :dunno:
So who's gonna be the first to do the "GS snowplow mod"

No, but I learned to check the thickness of ice before I ride on it.
Most snow we've had was in 89' stayed on the ground for a day. Then two years ago it snowed lightly for a couple hours then melted at dawn. :(
A lil snow is always welcome by me.

Damn John, you're making me homesick! :( I'm from Illinois originally, though I'm a California implant nowadays...the most snow we see in the SF Bay/Sacramento area is in the mountains...otherwise it is all rain here, though today is nice and sunny.
I do occasionally miss those blanket snows...always the sign to put the bike up and break out the snowmobile!!!! :thumb:
Officially we got 23 inches of snow today. Yuck!
WOW...we got 14 inches and I thought we had it bad.....to early for this...but at least I got to use the toboggan :P :P
Wayne
wow. we got 25 inches...........in the last 50 years :x
I got 20+ inches of snow over the weekend. I keep my bike out of the wind on the south side of my house, but with the wind, a huge drift built up in the area. My bike was buried in 30-36 inches of snow :o and hanging directly over the bike, was an overhang of snow that stuck out 4 feet from the roof! Well, I hope my windscreen is okay, cause I couldn't dig out and move the bike, and well... the snowdrift on the roof was bending the gutters and had to go. I poked at the snow and eventually a couple hundred pounds of snow hit me and the bike :( The roof is doing much better now, and I have a couple of cool pictures of that snowdrift... all sculpted by the wind 8)
that is why i miss chicago :( :( :( , here in the south if they even call for an inch, 1 it is a blizzard, and 2 wal-mart, home-depot, and lowes gets raped
and I had to ride angeles crest yesterday with neck warmer on... :nana:
john-I thought you were moving to L.A.? get yer butt outta there...
71 in Phoenix yesterday. Went for a nice long ride. I don't miss Chicago one damn bit. I did enough snow shoveling and driving in that crap to last me the rest of my life!!
Part of the reason I left NY was to get away from the snow - now I kinda miss it though. Around here just the word "flurries" announced on the radio causes mass hysteria, pileups on the interstate, and all the canned food in a 100 mile radius to disappear from supermarket shelves. Ridiculous! We haven't gotten any snow yet, but it's freezing outside!
BTW, nice house!
Gee- all that snow looks familiar! ;)
John- your back and arms as sore as mine?
About the plowed roads? Where are the plowed roads? :bs:
We didn't have the power line issues that you did though, thank goodness for that! Lost power for about 10 minutes.. enough time for me to start with the- OK we really need to get the drive done so we can go somewhere to watch the game. It came back on when I said that!
Yep it sucked totally.
You guys are whinning...
If life hand you a pile of snow - make snow-aid.
...ok that was bad
Or pee in it. :dunno:
The dog took care of the "pee in it" part.
We got about 7 inches here in the valley. Just enough to get out of school early and keep us out till saturday.
