You are in for a treat.
If you can, do the front too. What happens to that little bike when the suspension gets sorted is just remarkable. Every ride is a joy... :D
Already have .85 sonics on board
You got a bargain there! I paid 3x that for mine. Your going to love it, The R6 shock is a great match to the .85kg/m Sonic springs :thumb:
The postage was x3 times the price if the shock but with tge great exchange rate I still kept it under $100.

From what I have read about the R6 shock swap, you only needed the lower linkage hardware to make it a direct bolt on....correct? If you happen to get one of these shocks with the Yamaha factory linkage you are good to go, right?
Yeah it didn't come with the lower bolt and sleeve but I got them so I'll be doing the install video in the weekend.
Not the only Aussie jumping on the R6 shock bandwagon :D

Mine arrived today, 8 days after shipping notification.
And I am still waiting on an order from brisbane that I made two days before the shock. Colour me surprised. :icon_rolleyes:
I look forward to your install video
Well the install went off without a hitch. I ended up grinding the swingarm but it's only a nip tuck so I'm happy. It went so well cods is going down the r6 route as well he was a pretty good cameraman as well. Video will be up soon for all to see
I see a lot of these online, some with milage listed on them. I would think that the lower the better, but how durable are these? A bike with 30,000 miles (or more) could still have a pretty good shock on it, no?

I would look at the year over mileage. A bike that's been sitting forever with only a few miles is worse than one that's been ridden lots of miles and kept up. But to answer your question, yes, shocks don't generally go bad unless they're cheap like ours. Lol.
I am also waiting for my R6 shock to come in the mail. $40 on ebay came off 2005 with 4500 miles so was a steal. My question is do I need the lower knuckle and linkage bars? or just the lower mount bolt
NEVERMIND...watched the video! great work!
