Lemme just say that I bought this 01 GS 500 as my "Commuter Killer" and love it. It's quite fat and pretty slow compared to my supermoto's, but it's a blast because it's solid like a Sherman Tank! I just put a cheapo set of saddle bags and a tail bag on this beast to make the commute that much better (Paid $75 for the whole setup shipped!). I also picked up this "Cramp Buster" for highway riding....well worth the $10 spent.........Rant over, here's some pics

Nice! I had the same cramp buster. Until I let somebody borrow it, then it disappeared........

The only thing with the bags is that they say "Live to ride" on them. I am in the process of blacking out the stitching with a sharpie marker... :icon_mrgreen:
When I bought it , it had been sitting for a year and the left side cover weeped a bit of oil when riding. I replaced the gasket over the weekend and so far so good
