How the heck do I get at the air filter without removing fuel lines? I can only lift the tank a couple of inches before the fuel lines get tight (don't wnat to kink them). It has the stock lines on it but they don't seem long enough for me to lift it high enough for me to get my hands in there. Should I have to pull the lines off to get that sucker high enough?
Edit
I youtube it. I see now the front of the tank is not on a hing so I can just slide it back a little. Then I should be able to tilt it to the side to get at the filter.

Yeah...slide the tank back a bit to disengage the front...I place a small piece of 2 x 4 wood under tank to hold up while getting at air filter. or...
It really is not too hard to take off the fuel lines and remove tank all together...just close the petcock. Not the outside petcock, the inner one which requires a screwdriver. Then pull of fuel lines...don't mix up...and take off whole tank...then do nice job on air filter out int he open...
