Post by: ninjeff on March 29, 2012, 04:10:04 PM
So whats a good kind to get? Im a bit of a noob when it comes to motorcycle brakes.

Ive seen semi-metallic, sintered metallic (?) and carbon-kevlar. I have no idea what the difference is.

Most of your questions should probably be answered here:

Semi-Metalic are best for normal use.  Never had an issue with Semi-Metalic.

Glad to help.  One night I could not sleep, and I swear I read the whole Wiki.  A Ton of valuable information.

Google "Brake Pad Material" and you will learn more about the differences in ceramic, organic, semi-metalic, etc.  Most are geared for cars/trucks, but you get the idea.
