Not nearly as nice as Hawaii, but here's a video of me riding my GR650. The three camera positions are on the footpeg, clamped to the down tube, and flat behind the windscreen. And for those that notice........I wasn't wearing my riding boots or tucked in my laces. Shame on me. If it takes a while to load, change the resolution to 480 in the settings.

Looks freaking cold in a few of those shots. Nice bike and vid.
Thanks Twisted! :thumb:
It's still a work in process, but it's getting closer. And we've had a string of nice-ish weather lately. But the trees and grass haven't recovered from winter yet so it looks cold.
I like that camera angle down low like that, would it be better on the other side so your foot isn't in the way as much? Nice ride. All of these videos are making me want to try a video cam on mine. maybe next year.
Great looking bike, and cool video. Looks like some great roads to ride. I really like the angles that you chose. Makes for really good views. Keep 'em coming Rich. :thumb:

im wanting to get my hands on one of those cameras, and fasten it to the side of the deck of my goped. so POV will be from about 3" above the asphalt. i rode mine the other day for about 14 miles. legs were locked up at that point. but sprocket i noticed was no longer a sprocket. points were in the shape of a pyramid. aka time to get a new sprocket. i said WHOA time to go home. i set the chain tension a tad tight. so it wouldnt fall off and prayed :). i made it. well almost. about a quarter mile fromdriveway. so i got chain to unlock and had to walk rapidly so it wouldnt relock. ( thought clutch fragged like it did last time but no when i got it unlocked i started it and goosed it a bit, and she moved. so i shut it off and made it home. anyhoo , i like those cameras because they are durable. ive got one that wouldwork. but 2 problems. 1 it is a dash camera, and runs on +12v, and has to use an external HDD or recorder. so that isnt practical. weight is an issue with these things. and battlepig doesnt like alot of stuff beign attached to her. the gopro is perfect except for hte audio issue. but a slight music overdub or somehting liek that, or a narration or somehting would work

The thought had certainly crossed my mind. But the exhaust goes under the right foot peg. I originally wanted to mount it to the bottom frame rails, but the bolts on the GoPro mount hit the motor. I may be able to mount it under the front sprocket cover though.........
HawaiinGS- I highly recommend the handlebar mount. It can be clamped on bar diameters from .75" to 1.4" so it opens up a LOT of options on where you can put the camera.
Thanks for the props folks! I'll be taking more videos as the season goes on.
You're right Big Rich. I do need to get a handlebar mount. I might have to do a little shopping this week.
