Title: oil leaking from air box!

had too much oil i thought;drain oil and replaced with freash.still getting blow back and no she stutters at half throttle.please help me fix my baby!!!!!

How much oil are you talking about? If it's just an oily residue coming from the box, that's not a big deal. If it's any considerable amount, you might want to do a compression test.

i thought i had fried the motor,but my spark plugs were dry.its not a steady stream,but its enough to get my air filter wet.i drained the oil put 2 quarts back in and she seemed to stop but now she seems to stutter

before you changed the oil was your oil level correct?. Its possible your petcock is leaking which would flood the carbs in turn flooding your engine. The gas runs into the cylinder and drains into your oil. This brings the oil level up and also thins the oil. The thinner oil gets easily pushed out of the pcv line going to your airbox. This is only made worse by the higher oil level and thinner oil.

Anyway that was a long winded way to say monitor your oil level to see if it gets higher. Also smell it to see if it has a really strong gas smell.

Also, is the little filter still in the top of the cam cover breather?  And, I know its not common on the GS, but alot of wheelies will cause excess amonts of oil to drain into the airbox from the cam cover vent.....
