Saw this on fark. Sounds cool, wouldn't have to look down at gauges, may improve safety. Then again, maybe it would be distracting for some, who knows. Too expensive for me, so I don't have to worry.
I sure would like to see this stuff
edited, read something wrond
Got that from Fark?
If I had a HUD for my helmet, all it would need to say is, "Look further ahead, dumbass!"
so when the technology is perfected, will we be able to watch DVD's on our visors when we're riding  :nono:

It blows my mind that they can give you an accurate speed by GPS!!! How freakin' cool is THAT?!?!?! No more speedometer, you can just ask a satellite how fast you're going? unbelievable... maybe a little more technology than you need though, no?
the HUD would be cool, but why not just a normal speedometer transmitting the speed to the helmet by RF or somthing?
then you can tell the cop to (http://www.gstwins.com/forum/images/smiles/piss.gif)on it, when they try to get ya for speedin, and would be able to prove how fast you were actually goin :?
ok, there is one thing that wasnt mentioned in the article, and i have seen this happen before, you cant use it for long as most ppl develope massive migranes from changing extreme focus to often. in time one could get use to it, but, thats alot of money to get use to a headache.
i wouldn't trust it for speed
well sure it may be close most likely more accurate than our current speedo.
it is just too much to have to count on not being surrounded by trees space debris knocking satelites off their true orbit which is why they have WAAS (wide area augmentation system) which uses a set and known point to adjust for just such error but the margin of error is 3 meters on a pretty damn good gps its not a lot, but accuracy comes with a price and that price is usually very high. not to mention that the display has got to be expensive :dunno:

i like that idea it seems more reliable to me
couldn't a gps constantly tracking you be considered kinda Big Brother-like (is that even a word?) ? would anyone else be concerned about privacy? just curious.
