Title: Free/Cheap GS500 parts UPDATE:4/1912 All remaining items FREE
Post by: catch2otwo on April 02, 2012, 06:14:11 PM
I know this is my first post, but i just finished stripping a free gs500 I got in order to build my track bike.  So the few decent parts I have im giving or selling cheap to make room for new parts.

Got a few things from a 89 GS500.

Seat: Free
Decent shape, couple small tears

Motor: $40
Mileage/condition unknown.  PO said it has been sitting for quite some time.  Complete with dirty carbs and air box.  Again I have no idea the condition on the motor.

Wish I lived closer for that motor.

Would love to try to build a low compression beast, blueprint it, fuel inject it, and turbo the sunovabitceh

Does the metal mount that holds the Speedo and the tach still have all the little colored covers for the bulbs(oil, nuetral, turn, and high beam)? If so how much do you want for it?

I don't need the sides. need more centers for people that need tail sets.

Ignition control box? Looking for a spare.

The plastic caps from instrument bracket?

Which one is the ignition box?  Whats it look like?  Unfortunately I tossed the instrument bracket and couldnt find it in the dumpster tonight

Also if your not picking up in person, let me know the zip code you want it shipped to and I can give you a shipped price.  not sure if its worth shipping things like the tail plastics but if you really want I can get a quote

Really just the tail center. I have LOTS of side panels.
Ignition: It was on the left side attached to the battery box.

I think I have that box, let me find it.  If you want i could throw the whole harness in a tiny box if you want to pay the shipping.  The shipping on the whole harness will probably only be a couple bucks more then shipping the little ignition box.  probably under 10 bucks.

The tail fairings are already gone to another member.  If it falls through ill let you guys know.  pm your shipping info so I can get a quote for you.

I'd like the motor, wiring harness, side covers - yea center can go to that guy feeling up his boobies, and a bunch more - now where are you ? shipping could kill the deal ... My zip is 28269.
Cool.

Yes, where are you? I need that motor too. Maybe you're within driving distance for me? I need clean fork sliders too. Mine are rusted.

pm's replied with shipping costs.  so far looks like the harness and tail plastics are spoken for.

Did someone ask me about the motor mount bolts?

Edit:  Tail plastics are sold.
