for anyone who may not be aware, when they say "gs" on that site, they're talking about the BMW GS. not our gs.
What I'd like to see is some Harley Jockey navigate his Fat Boy, or Sportster for that matter, through the muck like those old-timers did. Of course, Steve McQueen had an Indian desert sled... Of course, if he were alive today, he'd be on the KTM V-Twin. I'd bet he could have jumped the barbed wire in "The Great Escape" with that!
LOL. Let alone HOG riders, prolly none uf us would even attempt that on our much lighter, better sprung, and cheaper GS. Those guys had some balls to try that on a hard tail '50 Harley.
Where can I get one of those leather flying helmets? an' Steve McQueen jumped the wire on a Triumph thinly disguised as a beemer.
APOLOGY......Tried to jump the wire........
I'm sure those bikes could handle that, hogs were built alot different back then. You could put knobbies on a GS and some better suspension parts and beef up the torque a little and put motocross bars on and mudflaps and a shotgun holder and a cup holder and a rack to carry deer and women on and some fuzzy dice and some....
