Brought it home for $1800. Its runs perfectly. the carbs had been rebuilt just a few days before I picked it up. It also had a fresh oil change and new plugs, new filters, etc. I drove it home 4 hours the day i bought it. Was really impressed by it.

And the '99 model has the 1959 Cadillac tail light   ;)  I'm a big Katana/Bandit fan; fun, cheap and reliable   :thumb:

I love the tail light. As far as looks go, its my favorite part of the bike. I gotta get rid of the fender though. that, looks retarded. Its a pretty easy chop. cheap to do also

[/quote]well FWIW, it comes down to comfort, and price. and intended use. dont get me wrong, im a harley guy, BUT i do like hte gsxr . the canatuna, itself is to me more comfortable for longer distances versus the gixxer. the tuna can handle some decent curves too. sooo if i had to choose one bike out of either the gix or the tuna, would be down to this, if i needed comfort and used for distance, its kat. hands down. however if distances werent in the equation, would be gixxer all the way. or xb9s

I love can-o-tuna's but the 89-95 version more than the post 96. Decent bike that was screwed by the fact that it was plastic wrapped - and looked racier than a GSXR, or anything else on the road for tha matter only to be a dog in comparison.
Cool.
