has anyone ever found bar end mirrors that bolt in to the stock bar end location? possibly one that is a bar end weight itself?
Search bar end mirror on eBay. Avoid tge cheap $4.00 sets start at least $15, that's what I paid for mine and there brilliant. The vibrations through tge handle bars will be a bit more though.
yeah ive been searching just was wondering if that type was out there or if i could use something like the crg's and make my own "bar end" for it to clamp to.
I bought a pair on ebay paid $15-20 came with the ends to screw in to the bar end. I had 89 clips, now i just have them on the newer bars so i can see under my arm. they work surprisingly good. It does take a bit to get them being they come from Asia. But mine are made out of Al, and not plastic.
Sounds like a set I just bought off amazon. 21 bucks shipped. 3" round mirror. Aluminum construction. I love em, they look great and seem to be really well made.
sounds like them. jsut make sure you dont try and move them around alot, they cam become loose a little bit, but overall i like them, and they work reay good.
Try Jettin' bar ends.

So far so good, tighten the crap out of em with a good wrench and I haven't seen any bad vibration at all. I don't have end weights either.
Yes, the same style. The ones in my photos are actualy Motrax brand convex ones. I got them online at Cycle Gear for $25 on closeout. If you can get some of those, I recommend them. The cheap eBay (or Amazon, or Motorcycle Superstore, or...) ones are nowhere near the quality that the Motrax ones are. I know since I have two sets of the cheapies. The craftsmanship and materials are poor, in particular the ball joint that mounts to the clamps is soft and allows the cheapo mirrors to move around more than I like.
That said, I rather enjoy the look of them on the bike. For function, not so much.
Also, the bar ends are Jettin brand. Heavy (17 ounce) and grooved for tie downs or for bar end mirrors.
I have had these on my GS and they work great. No vibration issues.

Zwerski, what type of bar end weights are those?

Jettin' Industries. They specialize in aftermarket Vespa and Piaggio scooter parts. The notch is to allow for Vespa/Piaggio scooters to have a tie-down point for trailering. I have the heavy 15 oz. ones. They bolt right up and bar end mirrors fit in the notches, some with a little Dremel-ing, others stick right on.
