Title: Scorpion helmet
Post by: kyleGS500 on April 04, 2012, 04:26:29 PM
Finally got my helmet from motorcyclesuperstore.com. It's a scorpion ex400. No I have the opposite problem that I had with my bell. It's a little to small. I'm hoping it will "break in" and loosen up. (http://img.tapatalk.com/43f921be-d886-31f1.jpg)

And my son trying it out

Yeah it was tight the first few times putting it on as well.

hardly broken in yet but its looser but nice and snug now.
Just a lil tight getting off still.

Heres some pics of the replacement shields I got.

I wanted that silver reflected visor. I bought one called silver mirror and it's just a tinted visor.

Turns out when its actually on the helmet its Silver mirror like I wanted. When there was light behind it being off the helmet it just look tinted. I rode this morning and Im very happy with this helmet. :woohoo: Wind noise isnt nearly as loud. I can lift the visor with one finger. Compared to my bell that took some force to open.

Is it small that it's hurting? I know my EXO-1100 had a hot spot on my forehead, so I just exchanged it for a larger size and it works great. I don't know if mine has fully broken it but it's snug as a rug and feels great.

It doesnt really hurt just kind of a pinch on my forehead. It feels a little better everytime I wear it.

I have had two scorpions over the years and they "slowly" loosen up. But you can always get new pads and inserts. The shells are they same size depending on which size you wear. Like if you wear an xl, then you can get large pads for it and it will be looser! Is looser a word!?  :dunno_black:

Anywho......you need to hold them brains in! That's why it's a brain bucket!  :woohoo:

Scorpion rocks!  :thumb:

kk after a few long rides with the new helmet, its breaking in quite nicely!

So I wouldnt worry about it being a little tight right now Kyle

I've got 2 scorpion exo-400's, dig them both. I've got a matte black one with silver mirror, sooooo slick.
