Illinois GS Riders reply here. There are several of us out there who have been active on the forum lately. We should see if we can get a ride or 2 together this year.
This guy is in on this! :thumb:
...When I get a bike...
Reporting!
I would be down. Former F owner now rocking a SV

There are few more IL riders out there for sure. This probably won't happen until later in the summer considering the condition a few of the new members bikes, or lack there of. :)
Hey Lemon,
How much more power is there in the SV650 than the GS? Is it forgiving at all?
Bomb: I agree. My bike is currently non-existent. Though I may be going to get one this weekend!
Come on IL riders! Get on here!
Moving back home in June! will be in the St.Charles/Geneva area
Hey Tron, I live in Bartlett and I'll be back in may! :woohoo:
I'm up in the far NE corner.

HEY NOW! Them's fightin words.......
My bike isn't 100% yet either, so I put myself in that category. I'm not planning on showing up to meet with a tank with the paint sanded off and unsanded bondo spots :). I was mostly referring to those who don't even have one in their posession yet.
...this guy... :dunno_black: :bs:
HA! I take no offense. :thumb:
I would be interested if this can come together... It would be great to ride with others that'll wave back, unlike the 'exclusive' harley groups around here...

I am actually in the process of moving to Aurora from Iowa! Just waiting to sell my house
I am going to be a new rider of a 2008 Suzuki GS500F and live in the Northwest Suburbs.
Since Bomb mentioned it in another thread, I'm bumping this thread up again.
We need to get some more interest here! We definately could meet up somewhere centrally located, or where there are some decent roads (few and far between in illinois). Maybe set up a parking lot session with some halved tennis balls?! I dunno, but we need to get this ball rollin'... Summertime passes quick!

Since everyone except me seems to be up north, maybe we should meet somewhere around Starved Rock? I haven't been there for a very long time, but I intend to make my way up I-39 from Bloomington sometime to check it out.
Starved Rock is a pretty good meeting location. It is pretty centrally located for the riders on here, and has some decent roads around there too.
Any objections? Say nigh, otherwise its goin in writing. :icon_mrgreen:
Now how bout a time frame? I'm taking a month of weekends off for July, so that would be best time for me... say, last weekend in July to give time for making arrangements?
Also, if any neighboring state people or anyone who wants an excuse for a rode trip, feel free to join in, that is certainly alright!

I'm in Lagrange area, actually just saw another gs500 yesterday by my house
Thread Revival!
In light of the GS500 America Relay (http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=64264.0) kicking off in a couple weeks, I thought I would call upon folks who have replied to this thread in the past in hopes to reach some of you still sub'd to this thread. I will be meeting jestercinti for a baton carry the weekend of June 29th, which will mean the baton will be in the area. Anyone else interested in joining, feel free to post here or the official relay thread, or even send a PM. Even if you can't do it on that weekend, post up anyway if you want to be a part of it. The relay is about the journey, the more the merrier!
- Bboy
I'm definitely interested in riding along with the baton. Where are you meeting jester?
We still need to talk about it more, but I'd figure if more folks joined in, that might effect the path... the path and stops along the way are flexible, as its about the ride and not the destination. Might as well try to make it work for more folks if we can.
