Check your tires, I never saw a tire that didn't have the size and brand marked on it.

I know what kind I have on it. I was just looking for some old school tubed tires.  I didn't know if anyone had and bit of info on some.  What size would fit etc

Gs500 come with tubeless tires and I've only run tubless on them.  I've now tried all tire sizes I consider suitable for the stock 3.0 and 3.5" rims on our GS500s and all of the tires I've run on my GSs have been fitments approved by the tires maker for our rim sizes; 110/70, 110/80, 120/70 fronts and 130/70, 130/80, 130/90, 140/70, 140/80, 150/70 rears.  All these sizes have ample clearance all around except the 150 which will touch or almost touch the brake torque brace and might require a little bend in the brace for clearance.

Update:  I just had a Podium 150/60 mounted on a wheel today to put on my 02 GS tomorrow.  It's a stock 3.5" GS rim and while it's not an approved fitment by the tire makers in this country many are running them on the GS500 and Ninja 500 bikes on this size rim.  I want to try one for myself.  All tires I've run on GS500s:

I'm aware that they are tubeless i was just looking for those old school rounded off tires something like this perhaps? http://supercrossaction.com/IRC-Durotour-RS310-Sport-Touring-Motorcycle/M/B00553WELU.htm?traffic_src=froogle&utm_medium=CSE&utm_source=froogle for the front though. As it seems that the front looks taller in the video

Will 110/90/17 fit the front with the fender removed?

Is it a Bridgestone Spitfire in the video?

I hate to sound like the safety police....... but that tire looks grossly oversized on there. I would bet money that bike handles like a wet turd.

Ha yea they do look rather oversized but that's the objective id like to get about the same size he had. What about 130/90/17 front and rear. Im waiting on some info before I buy. Curious on the largest that will fit and not rub

For the front you won't be able to have a front fender unless you do some modding. To each there own i guess.

Front fender was already removed. Im just not sure how big I can go. 110/90 120/90 or 130/90. Im already set for 130/90 for the rear. Just not sure about the front

Well, most tire manufacturers list their "recommended rim width" on their sites. Might have to find a tire you like, and check there.

I still want to point out though: there's reasons that Suzuki didn't put such large tires on their bikes from the factory. Just please be careful.

So what size are those tires shown on your 93 GS in your video, are you going to tell us?

Quote from: lluneth1337 on April 14, 2012, 09:37:25 PM..................What about 130/90/17 front and rear..............

Isn't that front tire shown in the video larger in dia than a 130/90?  I've run several 110/80 front tires that fit inside the fender.  Can see in your video that the present front tire extends above the lugs at the top of the fork sliders that hold the fork brace that holds the fender.  A 110/80/17 is 23.9" in dia and 130/90/17 is 26.2" in dia so the 130/90 would be a bit over 1" larger on the radius than a 110/80 that fits inside the fender.  Dims are calculated dims, actual dims for tire to be used needs to be checked as they vary from tire to tire.

Well, most tire manufacturers list their "recommended rim width" on their sites. Might have to find a tire you like, and check there...............................

All list their preferred rim width and many major tire makers also list their approved rim width range but some do not give a range like IRC you mentioned for example.  This old tire/rim width listing might be helpful in determining what rims the tires will fit, a 130/90 for example will fit a 3.0" rim like the GS front and is an approved fitment in general.  Doubt you will find a tire narrower than a 139/90 that is approved for the GSs rear 3.5" rim.
